The brief

This is a market engagement exercise to inform Lambeth Council's future procurement strategy for Children Looked After (CLA) services.

An online event will be held on Thursday 12th January 2023 from 10am-12noon.

To confirm your attendance please see details in Additional Information.

This exercise will seek innovative ideas from the providers who may be able to deliver in-borough services relating to: 1.

Edge of Care services, 2.

Residential services for children with complex needs 3.

Independent Fostering Arrangements (including emergency, short-term placements at short notice for police protection and remand for periods up to 28 days), 4.

Step-down provision from secure welfare services.

The above list is not exhaustive but illustrates key areas of provision that the council is seeking market input on, to inform future commissioning models.

Ideally, the council is seeking input from providers who may be able to deliver services in-borough / London.

Lambeth Council current commissions CLA services using a mixture of framework models and individualised contract placements.

This engagement exercise will support the current review of commissioning to determine if current placement practices are still relevant and preferable.

The council will also undertake co-production and co-design with service users and other stakeholders for a possible new service offering.
