Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →
UK Sport provides strategic investment to enable Great Britain's Olympic and Paralympic sports and athletes to achieve their full medal winning potential.
In order to maximise such potential UK Sport runs various programmes to develop the skills of sports coaches in the high performance system.
As part of UK Sport’s Coaching Programme (information about which can be found on: http://www.uksport.gov.uk/our-work/coaching ) approximately for the period from August 2016 to March 2019 UK Sport is inviting expressions of interest regarding a flight simulation to improve human performance.
The purpose of a flight simulation activity would be to enhance the individual’s self-awareness, develop decision making and to evolve communication techniques all whilst experiencing a large cognitive load combined with a high pressure environment.
This would look to be done through a team undertaking the flight simulation to examine themselves and the broader efficiency as a unit with the information gathered to then be built back into their working environments.
This would ideally be situated within reasonable travel distance to the UK Sport head office in central London.
In order to maximise the learning and development of attendees it is anticipated that the supplier be able to display skills and expertise relating to: • Aviation • Human Performance • Flight Training • Military Background • Commercial flying background • Business Leadership and Team Development Suppliers should note that UK Sport is currently in the formative stages of developing its requirements for this service.
This notice is therefore not a guarantee of a forthcoming tender exercise.
An expression of interest should include an outline of how the supplier would meet the needs of the simulation.
To expression an interest in this opportunity please email coaching@uksport.gov.uk by 12pm Wednesday 6 July.
