Contractor Awareness Event - Construction
Swansea Council Building Services are looking to hold a morning / afternoon session at one of its community centres for the SME’s, Construction Contractors etc we work with and who bid for Construction work across its portfolio.
The purpose of the event is to specifically provide free advice and guidance on the Procurement process (Sell2Wales etc) and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 questions and how you can potentially improve your bids.
We are actively encouraging you to bid for work with us as local suppliers and want to assist you as best as possible.
There will potentially be short presentations advising on the Supplier Questionnaire, SSIP accreditation or full question analysis (for example as Contractor or Principal Contractor and less than 5 employees) and the Technical Question.
We will explain the legal requirement we have to undertake and what you as a business should be doing.
After the presentation, there will be the opportunity for you to discuss face to face with our staff who review your bids.
This is not intended to tell you what you have to do but is aimed to assist you in your bids as a business.
If you are interested in attending, please send an email to Nasir.shahzad@swansea.gov.uk by Tuesday 19th November 2024 5pm, with the title “Swansea Council SME Presentation” and include anything that you would specifically like to see addressed on the procurement process, we will do our best to accommodate.
It is a free event, but subject to numbers attending in going ahead.
If there is enough interest a further invite will be sent with a specific date, time and venue.
