The brief

As part of Devon County Council’s Recovery Response, the ‘Open Up to Skills’ project will provide a menu of additional training opportunities for those individuals and companies within the hospitality, catering, leisure, tourism and retail sectors who have been most adversely affected by the COVID pandemic.

Across three geographical areas, the project will support 700 additional training places through an even split of non-accredited and accredited training places over an 18-month period (to be completed by March 2023).

The project will also support 300 businesses to upskill their staff or support redeployment across the County.

Successful delivery partners will be encouraged to be flexible and innovative in their approach, but their client base must be located in the three key geographical areas.
