As part of the National Cyber Security Programme, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) requires design and delivery of a programme to build enthusiasm and engagement for cyber security amongst young people of secondary school age - and at a point that leads up to and includes pupils’ decision points on subject choices for further study.
The required services will focus activity in 3 core areas: •A Digital Solution(s) to inspire and support 11-14 year old young people’s engagement with cyber security across the UK. •Regional pilot interventions to support the Digital Solution and, importantly, to embed and deepen engagement of it with under-represented groups and in areas of disadvantage. •A Targeted Communications Campaign, to support both the promotion of the Digital Solution and to embed and deepen engagement to build awareness and enthusiasm for cyber careers in the target audience.
