The brief

Infrastructure Delivery Plans for the North East Cambridge Area Action Plan and the Greater Cambridge Local Plan.

Cambridge City Council (CCC) and South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) are seeking suitably qualified and experienced consultants to develop two related Infrastructure Delivery Plans (IDPs) for Greater Cambridge (defined as the combined area of Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire districts) to support a new joint Local Plan and the area designated as part of the North East Cambridge Area Action Plan (NEC AAP).

This work will form part of the Councils' development plan making process in relation to infrastructure.

Both IDPs will follow the same methodological approach enabling the findings of the initial NEC AAP specific study to inform the infrastructure requirement for the Local Plan.

The contractor must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of work being sought that cannot be effectively mitigated.

Detailed proposals are now invited from consultants.

SCDC will be leading on the procurement on behalf of CCC and SCDC.

Please note that the Councils have also issued an invitation to tender for a Viability Assessment concurrently with this brief.

Liaison with the parallel viability work will be key to the success of the IDP development.
