Dentistry Cost Survey
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) invites all dental practices in England to take part in a survey that seeks to improve the Government’s insights on dental costs and the pressures involved in running a dental practice.
This will support the Government’s ambitions on dental reform.
Important information: • The survey closes at midday on 16 June 2025. • All responses will be received anonymously (unless you choose to identify yourself). • This research is being conducted by the Sector Insights & Commercial Strategy Team within DHSC, independently of policy teams.
All responses will remain confidential to a small team of commercial and analytical colleagues in DHSC.
Responses will be analysed in aggregate, and will not be shared at the individual, practice or company level; only anonymous, aggregated findings will be shared more broadly. • We plan to publish the analysis from the research publicly on GOV.UK following the conclusion of this project. • This work is separate from NHS England's Dental Workforce Survey. • Community dentistry is not in scope. • This is not a procurement.

Once finished, please upload the spreadsheet to the Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/uH6l5NTL1BEUiezrwv2J 4.
All responses should represent information at the practice level.
If you are part of a corporate group, you can choose to complete the survey locally as a practice or send it on to HQ to be completed centrally.
A separate response will need to be submitted for each practice responding.
Please ensure that duplicate submissions are not made for the same practice.
Alongside the survey, DHSC is also conducting interviews to build additional qualitative analysis.
If you would be willing to be interviewed in addition to completing the survey, please contact dentistrycostsurvey@dhsc.gov.uk to register your interest.
