When this comes round again

Wolverhampton City Council publishes Environment & Waste work continuously — 41 notices, roughly one every 40 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

44% of Wolverhampton City Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Supplier(s) for the disposal of paint, and recycling of wood and chipboard required to maintain the ongoing disposal and recycling of these products at the city's two household waste and recycling centres (HWRCs) in Anchor Lane Bilston and Shaw Road in Wolverhampton, and additional addresses within the WV post code from time to time; ensuring that paint and wood and chipboard deposited by members of the public at these HWRC sites are removed from the sites in line with the Council's disposal requirements.

The procurement is divided into two (2) Lots: Lot 1 - Disposal of Paint Lot 2 - Recycle of Wood and Chipboard Tenderers may bid for one or both lots.

This procurement opportunity will ensure that the waste is disposed of, or recycled, in a manner that is compliant with current waste legislation and aims to increase the Council's recycling rate.
