The brief

Applicants need to register with Constructionline to be able to comply with the requirements of this procurement.

If you are not already registered with Constructionline please see sections 3.0 and 5.0 of the CPQ response document for further information on how to register.

No payment is required if you opt for the "Associate" plan.

The Framework will consist of three Lots; Lot 1 Construction Works (up to £250,000), Lot 2 Construction Works (£150,000 to £1,000,000) and Lot 3 Demolition Works (up to £1,000,000).

Lots 1 and 2 must be capable of undertaking new build, extension and refurbishment projects as well as occasional single trade schemes.

Lot 3 will undertake stand alone demolition projects together with associated building and reinstatement works.The maximum number of lots that may be awarded to one tenderer is 1.

The works undertaken will generally be to schools, libraries, leisure centres, community buildings, social services and health buildings, depots, cemeteries/crematoria, office facilities, National Trust estates, heritage buildings, parks, farm buildings, public realm spaces, other buildings the Council is involved with and their environments.

Although there may be a requirement for some housing projects this is anticipated to be very minimal.

It is the Council's intention that this Framework will be available to associate companies and subsidiaries of the Council, including, but not limited to: Tatton Park Enterprises Ltd; Ansa Environmental Services Ltd; Orbitas Bereavement Services Ltd; Everybody Sports & Recreational Trust Ltd (Trading as Everybody Ltd, a charitable trust), Transport Service Solutions Ltd, and any other wholly or partly owned companies created by Cheshire East Borough Council.

This framework agreement will also be open for use by all schools and academies, including maintained early years settings within the borough boundary and all town and parish Councils within the borough boundary.

The values given in this notice are only estimations and are for the initial contract period of 3 years including the option to extend for up to a further 12 months.

The authority gives no guarantee or warranty or makes any representation as to the accuracy of any indicative volumes or as to the value of the work during the contract period.
