Crawley Borough Council invites bids for the provision of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles Fitness Inspections.
The Council licences approximately 750 vehicles, and each vehicle is required to have undertaken a Certificate of Compliance once per annum if under 4 years old, twice per annum if older than 4 years, and as required following the repair of a vehicle after a collision resulting in damage which affects the use, appearance or mechanics of the vehicle.
The Council shall appoint a maximum of five garages to deliver the Contracts for the provision of all services detailed in the Specification.
All MOT testing facilities for Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles must be situated within the Borough of Crawley, as detailed in the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provision) Act 1976, section 50.
