UK Power Networks intends to conduct a procurement event for the provision of Electric Vehicles (EVs)- Manufacture, Supply and Deliver.
The previous tender event (PE1-0013-2021) did not proceed and confirming that any bidders who responded to that event would need to respond to this new event, if still interested to take part.
UK Power Networks' strategy is to start transition its internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle fleet with Electric Vehicles from 2024 and looking to contract with Contractor(s) to support us in delivering this strategy.
It shall be noted that UK Power Networks is not considering lease purchases at this time.
UK Power Networks currently has a fleet size of over 3290 vehicles of which: • 1150 cars • 274 car derived vans, and • 1866 panel vans The vast majority of these vehicles are standard Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles.
Therefore, UK Power Networks requires Contractor(s) for the manufacture, supply and delivery of fully electric small/medium/large cars, and small/medium panel vans, including off road vehicles.
In addition, the Contractor may be asked to provide the following services: • Account Management • Management Information Reporting, including financial spend information. • Technical Support. • Training • Recalls/Warranty Services • Service Locations (workshops) • Added Value Services (e.g., employee discounts, access to discounted charging points etc.) based on individual preferences will be The proposed contract term is for an initial term of 5 years with option to extend up to 3 further years, a potential 8 years in aggregate.
This event will comprise of six lots as follows: • Lot 1: Small Hatchback Car (EV) • Lot 2: Medium Hatchback Car (EV), including SUV • Lot 3: Large Hatchback Car (EV) • Lot 4: Small Panel Van (EV) • Lot 5: Medium Panel Van (EV) • Lot 6: Off Road vehicles (EV)
