- Current placement is OFSTED registered rather than CQC therefore not suitable as service user is now 18. - The provider has served notice on the placement due to concerns about high levels of risk, to the service user, co-tenants and staff, and service user presents a significant risk due to involvement with gangs and individuals and exploitation - The notice period was given as 7 days rather than 28 days, due to the seriousness of the concerns for co-tenants and staff. - Service user is also at high risk of further assaults, and being placed in Oldham and behaviour has escalated in current placement resulting in him being verbally aggressive towards others in the property, including making threats of violence. - Service user is vulnerable and unable to prioritise wellbeing and lacks capacity around main decisions regarding lifestyle and wellbeing. - The provider has been approached directly to seek urgent placement given the timeframe and experience needed. - Provider have confirmed they can offer a temporary supported living placement with waking nights, and 4 hrs of 1-1 support during the day.
This support will be spread across the day time - AM and PM support.
This high level of support is required to mitigate the risks identified. - It is hoped that the provider can commence this placement from the 20th January 2026.
A longer term placement will be confirmed using the GM framework.
