End-of-term Cleaning Services
Brunel University London has published 65 notices across all categories, and 17% of its awards go to a supplier it has used before.
Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →
Brunel University London is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and competent cleaning contractor who will carry out end of tenancy cleans, servicing and changeover cleans for our conference business and sustain a high and consistent standard of cleaning across each of the University residential buildings.
As part of the ongoing commercial activities, the University wishes to contract for the provision of an annual end of tenancy clean to study bedrooms, kitchens, shared bath/shower and toilet facilities plus en-suite bathrooms.
The University is looking to appoint a contractor who can demonstrate an innovative approach to the cleaning requirements in order to achieve an efficient and cost-effective service.
The current provision of all the residential cleaning on campus is in-house and during the summer we have a requirement for an external supplier to provide additional cleaning services.
The successful contractor is required to clean the specified buildings within the standards (that will be provided in the specifications at tender stage), following the agreed work schedule, which will be signed off with the contract manger on site.
All cleaning completed by the contractor will be measured against the standards detailed in the cleaning specification document (that will be provided at tender stage).
Summary of requirements: We are seeking a cleaning contractor to supplement our existing in house provision by delivering, supervising/managing the following services during our periods of peak demand when residents vacate on the first week of June 2023 (and subsequent contractual years).
End of tenancy cleans of bedrooms and en-suites; end of tenancy cleaning of kitchens; making beds and preparing rooms and kitchens in preparation for conferences.
We are aiming at mobilising the Contract w/c 22nd May 2023 and the end of tenancy clean must be completed by the end of June 2023.
The priority areas will be determined by the Residences team and will be available closer to the time to the winning bidder.
Summer Servicing and Changeover: Providing a continued housekeeping service throughout the summer vacation for Language Schools, some self-catering and Corporate conferences, including turnarounds, bed changing and making and weekly servicing.
Our busy Language School business requires same day turnarounds for new guests.
Total number of rooms to be cleaned: 1895 Total number of kitchens to be cleaned: 192 Please note that the figures and dates stated in this notice are for information only and may vary slightly once the tender is published.
