When this comes round again

Hertfordshire NHS Procurement publishes Business Services work continuously — 26 notices, roughly one every 73 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

33% of Hertfordshire NHS Procurement’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

The East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust (ENHT) wishes to undertake a pre-procurement market engagement exercise to gauge the viability of its proposed Pest Control and Window Cleaning tendering programme.

The ENHT seeks the opinions of experienced facilities management contractors on the merits of merging these two contracts, which are due for renewal in the coming months and which do not exceed £50,000 per annum when combined.

The Trust welcomes responses from organisations who can contribute ideas on how this procurement should best be progressed, either as a merged solution, or as separate tenders.

The preferred option shall be the one that represents the best Value for Money to the Trust.

Responses to this early engagement exercise will not be evaluated as part of any future procurement process.
