When this comes round again

Vico Homes Limited has published 46 notices across all categories, and 21% of its awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

Vico wish to source a supplier for the provision of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) Remedial Works Service across Vico locations.

This agreement will therefore cover the provision of fire stopping works in Vico Homes Buildings across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Vico are addressing Fire Safety Measures with this agreement.

Vico are unable to guarantee any volume of business under any agreement arising from this tender and any quantities and/or volumes stated within this tender are for guidance only and no express or implied statement is given that these will be met or exceeded.

However, within this tender, we are looking at 15 schemes annually.

What is expected from the Contractor: • The Contractor shall deliver a fully compliant fire stopping solution for all service penetrations in accordance with BS EN 13501-2.

The Contractor shall determine the appropriate methods, materials, and installation techniques to meet this requirement. • Fire Stopping Compliance Report - A comprehensive report detailing all fire stopping installations, including photographic evidence, product certifications, and compliance with BS EN 13501-2.

Due within 10 working days of installation completion. • Installation Sign-Off Sheets - Signed documentation for each zone, confirming installation by a certified installer and verified by a third-party inspector.

See Appendix B- Specification of the tender documentation for detail on the requirement.

Justification for not publishing a preliminary market engagement notice: - Using an Open procedure and not excluding any supplier from this stage (with exceptions to conditions of participation at latter stages of the procurement process). - We have a clearly defined specification detailing the requirement, and knowledge of market costs. - Due to time constraints on the provision of this critically important fire safety requirement, time is of the essence.

What this notice demands of you

1 named in obligation language, 0 mentioned. Each one is quoted from the notice.

The Contractor shall deliver a fully compliant fire stopping solution for all service penetrations in accordance with BS EN 13501-2.

Matched against the notice text, so this is a floor — the tender pack will demand things the notice never mentions. “Says must” means the quoted sentence itself used obligation language; anything ambiguous is left as a mention.
