The brief

Hampton College is an all-through school for pupils aged 4 to 18, located in Hampton, Peterborough.

The school opened in 2005 and has grown steadily each year since then.

The school has enjoyed significant success in recent years, both in terms of recognition from OFSTED (three full inspections all Good or Outstanding) and in our public examination results.

On 1 September 2014 Hampton College became an academy.

The school is now run by our own educational trust: the Hampton Academies Trust.

We are what is termed a ‘converter academy’, which means that as a successful school, we have been approved by the Department for Education to form our own trust and to run our own affairs.

When we converted to academy status, we chose to form a multi-academy trust, which enables us to add other schools to the trust in the future, should we wish to.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at the school.

The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering and vending services within the school, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements.

The successful contractor will be expected to source all fresh produce on a local basis, especially fresh meat, bakery and fruit and vegetables.

The emphasis for this service is on achieving ‘best value’ and the successful contractor will be expected to demonstrate innovation, flexibility and commercialism.

The contract being offered commences on 4 January 2016 for an initial three year period.
