The brief

Salford partners expect to establish a revised framework for homecare services which - subject to consultation and further planning - will incorporate reablement/enablement, hospital discharge, night-time support, delegated healthcare tasks and trusted assessor/reviewer function.

We anticipate appointing to a multi-provider framework with lead providers operating within designated geographic areas of Salford, with alternative providers available within each area to support resilience and choice.

Development work has commenced, but it will be necessary to directly award contracts to incumbent providers (currently expiring 30/06/2025) to ensure continuity of services while the framework is established.

These 'interim' contracts will replicate current arrangements insofar as they will hold no guarantee of business, only affording the incumbent providers first refusal of referrals within their designated geographic area.

Relevant transparency notices will be published once an appropriate timescale for this project, and duration of supporting interim contracts, has been determined and will be linked to this pipeline notice.
