The Moorfoot Catalyst site is one of the identified priority areas which is situated in a distinctive gateway location into the city centre, inside the ring road (St Mary's Gate) and to the south of The Moor and Fitzwilliam Gate, bookending Sheffield's primary retail core.
The area has been identified by Sheffield City Council (SCC) and Homes England for a major residential-led mixed use regeneration project.
The scope of the proposed procurement opportunity includes the former Wickes (Plot 1) and the Moorfoot building, associated public realm and Moor Retail (Plot 2) as part of a first phase of development (‘Phase 1’).
Homes England wishes to reserve the option to extend the procurement to include further plots within the Catalyst Site yet to be assembled.
This notice references an estimated value of £300m (exclusive of VAT) this is deemed to be the higher end of the estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of Phase 1 at this stage.
