Housing

The Authority is looking to continue to improve services for children and young people with the ambition of achieving positive outcomes for all children. The Authority is therefore commissioning a 'Positive Housing Pathway' to deliver housing related support to young people, who are in housing need. Young people will receive a package of support based on their individual needs, which will be reviewed regularly. This support will enable the young person to move on as a self-sufficient adult, able to manage their own tenancy. Service Providers will ensure that services are delivered in line with The Authority's strategic priorities, policies and procedures (including amendments, re-enactments and updates), including, but not limited to Westmorland and Furness Council's Looked After Children Strategy, the Joint Protocol for Homeless Young People in Westmorland and Furness, the Children's Improvement Plan, Westmorland and Furness' Promise to Care Leavers, the Council Plan 2023-2028 and the Westmorland and Furness Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024-2034. The Service Provider will be responsible for carrying out robust research, as well as verification and analysis of data to inform their service delivery planning.
