IA1875 Carers Home and Community Respite Service
Market Engagement/Soft Market Testing For the avoidance of doubt this is not a Call for Competition this is to initiate a Market Engagement/Soft Market Testing process.
Staffordshire County Council and Partners are seeking to recommission the current Carers Home/Community Based Respite provision which will expire on the 31st March 2020.
The purpose of the service is to provide relief to carers in their own home, usually on a regular basis as part of a planned service package.
The service is delivered to the person being cared for, though it is intended to provide respite to the carer.
The service may be provided in the home or within the wider community.
The service may be delivered in the presence of the carer, if this is the assessed need.
Personal care may be required, hence there is a requirement for submissions from providers who hold domiciliary care registration with the CQC.
Carers must meet eligibility criteria to receive the service.
However, the service is delivered to the cared for person The objective is to provide the best possible support in accordance with the lifestyle and wishes of each individual Cared for person, incorporating a person-centred, asset-based approach to service delivery.
This is an opportunity for you, as a Provider to have your say and return your suggestions on how the market would look at delivering the service in the most effective and efficient way.
To start the market engagement process, initially we are looking to obtain feedback from interested providers, who are keen to help shape the model and future provision.
