Increasing Children's Engagement with Designated Landscapes
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Research & Development band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 20,405 valued Research & Development tenders in our corpus.
This project aims to improve understanding of children's engagement with National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), and the barriers and enablers to increasing engagement in future.
The project will consider children who visit National Parks and AONBs, their experiences of these visits and the benefits.
In order to understand the barriers and enablers to increasing engagement, the research should include children from disadvantaged areas, Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and others who do not visit often or at all.
The project is intended to inform implementation of the 25 Year Environment Plan and the Landscapes Review.
The project is expected to last nine months, from April 2021 to January 2022.
A scoping report is required approximately seven weeks after contract award, in June 2021.
An interim report is required in August 2021 and the final evaluation report in January 2022.
Proposals should include a costed option for a longer project lasting 12 months completing in March 2022.
This option should include a scoping report in June 2021, an interim report in August 2021, and the final evaluation report in March 2022.
