The brief

The Satellite Applications Catapult's Liquid Gas Storage Facility will be house in a purpose-built compound designed to meet the storage product suppliers' requirements for installation and safety.

The Liquid Gas will be used in future Net-Zero projects that will be conducted either in an adjacent indoor facility or in mobile testbeds.

The testing in the facility may be conducted over extended periods of time, therefore safety, consumption rates and liquid levels need to be able to be monitored remotely.

The scope of the procurement: The scope of the procurement will include design consultation on the compound, supply and installation of all items procured, as well as relevant operational and Health & Safety training, with optional supply of liquid Ammonia and Hydrogen.

As well as an on-going supply of liquid Ammonia and Hydrogen.

The storage vessels each need to be able to hold at least 50,000 litres of liquid Ammonia, 10,000 litres of liquid Hydrogen and 500 litres of Nitrogen gas.
