When this comes round again

London Borough of Camden Council publishes Health & Social Care work continuously — 26 notices, roughly one every 33 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

18% of London Borough of Camden Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

Camden Council is reviewing its Creative Therapy service for children and young people (aged 4 to 18 years) with special educational needs and disabilities, which is due to terminate at the end of March 2023, with a view to deciding whether and how to recommission this provision.

The Creative Therapies service currently delivers support to 120 children and young people per year - 70 on a 1:1 basis and 50 in small group-based provision.

This covers a range of art and music therapies to pupils across three of Camden's maintained specialist schools as well as targeted work within Camden's mainstream schools, when young people are at risk of a placement breaking down. .

The service works with children and young people with severe and profound learning disability, those involved with the Youth Offending Service and post-adoption services.

Service users' needs can be complex - for example, young people with suicidal ideation, safeguarding issues, unaccompanied asylum seekers or children with communication difficulties.

If your organisation is interested in applying and/or if you wish to comment on the council's recommissioning of this provision please complete the attached Market Testing Questionnaire by 2.00pm 3rd August 2022 and email to: denise.pittaway@camden.gov.uk Please also copy in: david.walsh@camden.gov.uk
