The brief

Edge Hill University - Minor Works Consultants Framework - Expression of Interest Edge Hill University wishes to establish a 3-year framework with the option of 1-year extension for the appointment of consultancy services in support of the University's Minor Works programme.

The envisaged scope of works to take place between Summer 2019 - Summer 2022 with an option to extend the framework by a further year and will cover works with a construction value of up to £1m.

The scope of works will cover refurbishment and extension of buildings within the University's Estate, including academic buildings, sports facilities, residences, commercial facilities, offices and other University buildings.

External works will also be included within the scope of the framework.

A total of up to 3no practices will be appointed to each of the following lots: Lot 1 Project Management Lot 2 Quantity Surveying Lot 3 Architectural Services/ Building Design Lot 4 Building Surveying Lot 5 Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services Lot 6 Structural Engineering Services Lot 7 Principal Designer/ CDM Adviser Lot 8 Approved Building Inspector Services Lot 9 Landscape Architecture (including Arboricultural Services) Appointments will be made on a project by project basis, in line with the provisions set out in the Edge Hill University Framework Manual, which will be issued as part of the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents.

Along with the confirmation of your willingness to be considered to tender, to assess your suitability you are requested to submit the following information: • Please provide a list and brief details of similar projects within the Higher Education Sector with regard to general maintenance, extensions, alterations, minor refurbishments and external works in the last 5 years, to demonstrate your relevant experience.

The project examples should be within the value band of £0-1m. • Your ability to respond proactively to the University's requests to discuss individual project requirements and attend meetings on campus within a 24-48 hour timescale.

The University will seek formal tenders from a list of up to 6 no suitable Bidders per lot, based on your response to the Expression of Interest, with the top 3 scoring Bidders for each lot being selected onto the Framework.

The Invitation to Tender (ITT) will be assessed on a 60% (Quality) and 40% (Cost), with Bidders being required to provide pricing information for the following value bands.
