PHE has a transportable system which can be deployed to the site of an emergency to monitor members of the public.
For each measurement the person sits on the chair, the detectors are positioned around them and a count made for 5-10 minutes.
There is no movement of detectors during the measurement.
Prior to transport the detector and all of the lead shielding is removed.
This requirement is to design, manufacture and supply the following changes to this system: 1.
Removal of the top detector support 2.
Modify bottom detector support so that it is suitable for a detector of a different design 3.
Increase range of movement of the single detector 4.
Two interchangeable collimators for the front of the new detector 5.
Reduction in thickness of chair shielding and addition of a graded lining 6.
Replacement padded chair cover 7.
Painting Please note: There is no contract as this is a one off modification.
The contract start sate and end date are not fixed.
