An award has been made for a multi-disciplinary works project for the re-opening of a passenger service between a new Portishead station and Bristol Temple Meads, including 5.5km of new railway to be constructed on disused line between Pill and Portishead, as further detailed in the procurement documents.
Works comprise of, but not limited to, detail design, surveys, environmental & ecology, civils, track, highways, buildings, telecoms, M&E and E&P.
The award covers a two stage contract where stage one consists of designs & surveys whilst, the second stage, subject to funding & consents, is retained as an employer's option comprising of construction implementation works.
Network Rail reserves the right, subject to funding & consents, to award the Works in part or in full.
