The current contract for the Ealing Carers Support Service ends on 31st March 2022.

Ealing tendered for a new Carers Support Service over Summer 2021 and the service will commence on 1st April 2022.

Ealing has carried out market engagement and gathered feedback from the market during June/July 2021.

Ealing has tendered for a three-year contract with the possibility of a 2 year extension.

The annual value of the Carers Support Service is approximately up to £100,000 per annum.

Ealing has an estimated 35,000 adult carers providing unpaid, informal care.

The Census 2011 indicated that 8.5% of Ealing residents provide unpaid care to a friend, relative or neighbour.

Based on national research it is estimated that there may be more than 4,000 young carers aged under 18 in Ealing.

Ealing has therefore sought a suitably qualified provider who has experience of delivering vital support services to carers of all ages and carers across all health and social care needs.
