The brief

The Providers will be required to deliver a Youth Engagement Service that is child and young person centred, interculturally competent, and diversity sensitive service for all young people.

This will involve working holistically with children and young people aged 11-25 years to promote health and well-being, build confidence, self-esteem and resilience, and signpost and support those in need of specific help to the appropriate service.

The Youth Engagement Service provides a range of activities and support and acts as a hub where young people have opportunities to socialise in a safe and welcoming alcohol and drug-free environment and avail of information, advice and support on a range of issues from relevant services both on-site and off-site, with the support of staff from the Youth Engagement Service.

The Youth Engagement Service is a signpost/referral service, and is not a keyworker/care coordinator service.

The Youth Engagement Service is not a youth club.

Each Youth Engagement Service will have a local identity and their specific provision is tailored to local need.
