Reference checking is an essential service for UK Power Networks to ensure that all potential employees have the work history stated in their CV's and are therefore fully equipped with the relevant knowledge and experience to undertake their role(s).
Referencing is purely to check on education and work history and does not require any personal opinions to be shared and as such is in line with UK Power Networks vision to be a respected and trusted corporate citizen.
In addition, there is a requirement to DBS check a defined number of employees within the Organisation which is currently c 2950 employees.
This is broken down into; • Category 1- 2173 employees every 3 years, and • Category 2- 777 employees every 5 years The same basic DBS is required above.
UK Power Networks' objective is to remain compliant and ensure that all appropriate DBS checks are in accordance with the Company Policy.
