This is not a call for competition, it is to notify the market that Caerphilly County Borough Council Social Services, Adult Services has awarded a contract to a suitable provider for the Provision of Extra Care, which enables people to retain control over their own lives, maximising opportunities for independence and social inclusion, while receiving the support they need in a safe environment within a community setting.
People living in an extra care facility will expect to receive a level of support which is higher, or more flexible than would be provided in their own homes, but lower than would be provided in a residential or nursing care home.
The Contract Period is from the 01 December 2024 - 30 November 2029, with the option to extend for up to a further period of twenty-four (24) months (renewable annually).
