The brief

The Trust is looking to formally award a contract for the testing of weekly water samples for its 4 Decontamination units at UHB which are responsible for providing a service to endoscopy clinics.

The weekly water samples will be taken in bottles supplied by the successful laboratory and kept in a fridge awaiting collection, the samples will be appropriately labelled with the sampling location, machine details (including chamber identifier if relevant) and the time the sample was taken by the staff taking the sample.

The successful laboratory will need to have procedures for collection with time and temperature controls in place to meet the requirements of HTM 01-06 and BS EN ISO 15883.
