Overall objective of the evaluation services In addition to the outputs and outcomes, the evaluator must ensure that the research considers the following themes: • The achievements of the project in providing an outreach and engagement service for SMEs to engage them in using university research facilities, knowledge transfer and previously inaccessible technology • The performance of the project in promoting to SMEs the benefits of investing in R&D to develop new products and processes • The experience of the project in providing technical support, academic expertise and process knowledge to SMEs and any lessons which have emerged from this • The success of the project in encouraging female participation in the project in order to help address the current gender imbalance in the science and technology sector. • Lessons for the future If you would like to express your interest please email claire.pearce@plymouth.ac.uk at the University of Plymouth who is the Project Manager.
