Birmingham City Council's Strategic Sport Team wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to undertake the preparation and submission of a section 73 application to make a minor material amendment to hybrid planning approval 2011/07399/PA in connection with the future construction of new Pool facilities at Icknield Port Loop.
It also includes the preparation of all relevant reports to satisfy relevant requirements of the existing Icknield Port Loop Hybrid Planning Application Conditions; Application Number: 2011/07399/PA in respect of the proposed swimming pool.
The consultant will lead on all planning, urban design, and valuation related requirements and will be expected to work closely with the City Council Strategic Sports Team and newly appointed external Sports Contractor Serco, who will deliver the pool on the basis of a design, build, operate and maintain contract, on all aspects of the process, particularly with regard to design and planning.
The appointed Consultant will have a Joint Duty of Care to Birmingham City Council Strategic Sport Team and Canal River Trust / Icknield Port Loop LLP.
