The brief

Scope The scope of this tender is for a principal contractor to manage the design and, installation of a double carport with vehicle charging points at the RAIB's offices in Derby.

The chosen contractor will need to develop the design/specification of the works and agree it with RAIB along with the timescales and requirements for a sub-tender exercise.

The chosen contractor will then need to arrange for the works to be installed and completed, authorising payment on satisfactory completion of the works.

Implementation and Deliverables This tender is for the Principal Contractor to: • manage the design, supply and installation of a double car port with charging points for 2 vehicles • meet with the RAIB to develop and agree the full design specifications for the project, • carry out a tender exercise, on behalf of the RAIB, to identify the most economically advantageous bid for design and construction of the double car port with charging points for 2 vehicles and the option for an electric/Hybrid charging point, as well as a canopy over the main entrance to the building. • oversee the supply and installation of the project to completion including supply of any legal or regulatory documents from potential sub-contractors to RAIB. • establish what, if any, milestone payments are required by potential sub-contractors and agree these with RAIB • liaise between the RAIB and all other parties All payments are to be made through the Principal contractor
