The brief

Red Cross wishes to establish a contract for the provision of textile recycling banks and all associated servicing and maintenance.

This Prior Information Notice wishes to notify the supply market of this upcoming tender opportunity with the Red Cross.

It is envisaged that this contract shall be for the supply, installation, commissioning, delivery, maintenance and management of 143 textile recycling banks in the South West and South of England and the Isle of Man however this number may fluctuate throughout the Contract term.

These textile banks and the associated services are required by the Red Cross' Retail department to fulfil an on-going Corporate Partnership with a leading UK supermarket.

These banks shall be located in supermarket car parks in the South West and south of England and the Isle of Man.

These textile banks shall be used as a source of stock to our 330 retail outlets following collection and delivery to our 2 regional sorting offices by the appointed supplier.

The anticipated Contract Start Date shall be 1st January 2018 and shall be for a 24 month term.

The objective of this upcoming project shall be for the Red Cross to engage a textile recycler to lease textile banks throughout the project term and for the appointed supplier to provide on-going servicing, maintenance and delivery of collections to the pre-agreed Red Cross locations.

Interested parties are required to acknowledge their interest in this upcoming tender opportunity and complete the attached Market Research Pro Forma, which accompanies this notice.

This Pro Forma shall be used a mechanism for Red Cross to increase its knowledge of the potential supply market and assist the upcoming procurement process.
