The brief

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of a Professional Support Unit (PSU) Dyslexia Service seeking qualified and experienced educational psychologists.

The London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) PSU provides individual support which includes diagnostic assessment for dyslexia and specialist dyslexia coaching for eligible clinicians working in multi-cultural London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

The procurement comprises of two Lots: • Lot 1: Diagnostic assessment for dyslexia • Lot 2: Specialist coaching to individual clinicians Providers can bid for either or both component parts.

Contracts will be awarded separately, including in the event that both contracts are awarded to the same provider.

The PSU will pay £400 exclusive of VAT per dyslexia assessment and £75 exclusive of VAT per dyslexia coaching session (maximum of 4 coaching sessions per client).

Indicative number of clients accessing assessments per year is 120, based on previous years.

There is no guarantee of volumes, the service depends on self-referrals.

The contract will commence on 16th September 2019, expiring 30th September 2020 and the commissioner reserves the right to extend the contract annually up to a maximum of an overall 3 year contract.

This procurement is being run under the Lighter Touch Regime, as a one stage open process.
