The Situational Awareness Command and Control Delivery Team (“SACC”), part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to place a contract with Ultra Electronics Ltd., for the provision of spares and repairs relating to an integral part of the Link 16 tactical data information link.It is considered that this contract can be placed with Ultra Electronics Ltd, using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 28 (1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulations 16 (1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations 2011).
This contract can only be placed with Ultra Electronics Ltd due to the specific technical know-how and knowledge that they possess in respect of the system.
