The service will support adult residents to take steps towards reducing and quitting smoking and long term vaping.
The service to be delivered will comprise: • Delivery of regular campaigns to keep reducing and quitting in people’s minds, • Establishing and training a network of people working and volunteering across Torbay who can deliver smoking and vaping advice, • Provision of self-directed support tools, • Behavioural and pharmacological support delivered in person, over the phone and through a fully digital, app based service, • Delivery of outreach support to improve engagement and outcomes for underserved groups.
The Provider will be expected to ensure a competent workforce, delivery to national guidance, and strong partnership working to reduce smoking prevalence across the locality, in line with the UK Government’s smokefree 2030 ambition.
