The brief

Richmondshire District Council (RDC) are seeking suitably qualified contractors to provide a Janitorial Service to the Council's Public Toilets across the region.

RDC will require the supplier to offer a comprehensive, high quality, timely and cost effective option.

RDC will be looking for a supplier who can demonstrate adequate health and safety processes, offer a reliable and robust service and have sufficient mechanisms in place to cover unforeseen emergencies and additional service requirements.

RDC would provide a detailed specification indicating the fundamental requirements and schedule for cleaning.

The Cleaning schedule will vary but predominantly it will be based on a weekday cleaning programme (Monday to Friday) with a possibility of seasonal changes.

The contractor will be required to provide information to the council at the first opportunity of any damage or disruption to the service.

The council will require regular month reports and contract meetings.

There are 13 toilet blocks, cubicles which range between 1 and 4.

The geographical areas incorporates Richmond town centre to the outlining surroundings including but not limited to Hawes, Langthwaite, Reeth.

Full details of the locations include address and postcode would be supplied if a formal tender process is to be carried out.

The Council are looking to prospective suppliers to confirm if this requirement is something they would be interested in tendering for.

This opportunity is also being considered as an In-house option We would be grateful to receive your feedback and any suggestions on how you feel you may be able to fulfil this service which would best to meet the Councils requirements.

In your reply please include the following: 1.

Health and Safety process 2.

Confirm you can carry out the cleaning programme on a Monday - to Friday basis with additional cleans on a seasonal requirement 3.

That you would be able to liaise with the council to advise of any damage and provide monthly performance reports.
