When this comes round again

Liverpool City Council publishes Business Services work continuously — 232 notices, roughly one every 6 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.

47% of Liverpool City Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.

Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →

The brief

The Council is looking to appoint a single supplier for the placing of statutory and other notices in one newspaper with circulation in the area of Liverpool City Council.

Notices include (amongst others) notification of planning applications, proposals for traffic regulation orders, setting of council tax, proposed compulsory purchase orders and school closures and mergers.

The contract will have no guaranteed volume of notices or exclusivity.

From previous years volumes, it is anticipated that the council will place in the region of 250 notices, of differing sizes, each year under the proposed contract.
