Funding has been approved by Welsh Government to support the development of a neuro-physiology unit at the NHS Wales University Eye Care Centre located in the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences in Cardiff.
This service will support the treatment of Neuro-physiology patients from across Wales and will provide joint working in the treatment of these patients between the NHS Wales University Eye Care Centre and the University Hospital of Wales (UHW).
The service is aimed at improving turnaround times for patients avoiding prolonged treatment which could potentially lead to irreversible sight loss.
