Southend-on-Sea City Council is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake regular water hygiene testing (Legionella Control) in accordance with the approved code of practice and guidance for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems ACOP L8 to public buildings, facilities and delegated sites (including schools and community resource buildings).
This procurement process has been divided into 2 Lots; Lot 1 – is for the appointment of a qualified and experienced contractor to carry out Risk Assessments, regular water sampling and testing, and treatment and remedial works required to the Council’s public buildings including toilets, parks, ponds and fountains in accordance with the approved code of practice and guidance for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems ACOP L8.
These services will be appointed under a JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 Edition.
The Council will be appointing one service provider for this Lot.
Lot 2 – is for the appointment of a qualified and experienced contractor to carry out daily site service visits between 1st March to 31st October and twice weekly between 1st November to 28th February to the outdoor interactive water feature at City Beach Marine Parade in accordance with the PWTAG Code of Practice and the approved code of practice and guidance for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems ACOP L8.
This service will include a 1 hour call out requirement to quickly resolve operational failures.
These services will be carried out under a JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 Edition.
The Council will be appointing one service provider for this Lot.
