The brief

The Contract will enable Cumberland Council to continue to meet its regulatory requirements in relation to the servicing and repair of lifts and hoists as specified in the Lifting Operations and Lowering Equipment Regulations (LOLER 1998) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER 1998).

The Contractor must comply with the requirements of all current editions of regulatory and statutory Acts and Frameworks that cover the Services undertaken.

The Contractor shall be registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to receive and comply appropriately with Field Safety Notices and Medical Device Alerts.

The Council proposes to enter into a contract for an initial period of 24 months with the successful tenderer.

There is one optional extension available of up to 12 months which is at the complete discretion of the Council.
