The brief

We need to procure a competent company to design and manufacture 121 accessibility ramps for installation at 49 stations (all stations are in South East Wales except for 4 stations which are in Gloucestershire) covering 73 platforms.

The ramps must be portable, manoeuvrable, and deployed quickly and safely.

In addition, they must be compatible with Stadler FLIRT (class 756 and class 231) Tram Trains.

The supplier must also provide a solution to anti-social behaviour and vandalism concerns.

The solution must be robust to protect the ramp from all manner of vandalism and theft – we require 121 products to protect all the ramps.

As part of this procurement the supplier must be able to commit to providing singular or low number units at request for replacement as TfWRL need them for market value costs.
