The brief

Southend-on-Sea City Council (SCC) seeks expressions of interest from providers who have the capability and capacity to deliver an evidence-base Supervised Tooth Brushing Programme.

SCC aims the programme to be delivered in areas across the City where children are at high risk of poor oral health.

The intention is to reach the children who attend primary school in Reception aged 4-5 years.

The main objectives of the programme are to reduce the prevalence of tooth decay, hospital admissions for dental caries and reduce health inequalities in children.

The maximum value of the contract over the 2yrs duration is £50,000 in total with service delivery start date Sep 2024.
