The awarded provider will be required to provide barcode labels for Mortuary, Histology, Seminology, Non Gynae, Blood Sciences and Microbiology.
The provider must be able to provide different copy numbers of label, e.g.
2 part, 4 part, 6 part, 8 part, 10 part labels – a 10 part label would have 10 individual bar code labels.
The Trust requires the labels to be provided with sequential numbers including a mixture of letters and numbers.
The Labels must be adhesive and withstand -80 to +120 degrees °C temperatures.
The labels must still be readable by barcode readers and analysers after exposure to these extremes of temperature.
The contract will be for 24 months with option for 2 x 12 months extensions.
