Supply & Installation of Bus Shelters – Swale Area
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
The submission route named on the official notice.
This sits below the typical range for Construction contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 64,002 valued Construction tenders in our corpus.
Swale Borough Council publishes Construction work continuously — 30 notices, roughly one every 70 days. This is a stream to watch, not a cycle to wait for.
16% of Swale Borough Council’s awards go to a supplier it has used before.
Which is the argument for getting on the list rather than winning this one. The incumbent is rarely the last winner — it is the roster. See the retention odds by category →
Swale Borough Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to quote for the supply and installation of new bus shelters in the Swale area.
The contract will involve the replacement of bus shelters with new “anti-vandal” style Cantilever shelters, galvanised with powder coating finish (colour to be confirmed).
The roof should be curved 3mm polycarbonate, and glazing should be 3mm steel mesh upper half and 3mm steel sheeting for the lower half.
Integrated perch seating should be included as standard, and fixings will be underground.
The price for supply and installation should include removal and disposal of existing shelters and any required traffic management.
Prices are requested for a 2 panel and 3 panel shelter option as this may vary from site to site, and as all shelters are located within the public highway operatives will need to hold the relevant Streetworks Accreditation.
Additional minor works to existing shelters may also be included in the schedule of works, and prices will be requested for these as required.
The contract shall commence on 21st October 2026 and terminate on 6th January 2027.
The council may extend the opportunity for a further 3 months.
The bidder/s who submit/s the Most Advantageous Quotation will be awarded the contract.
Expressions of Interest and the Request for Quotation (RFQ) document must be submitted / uploaded on the Council's e-tendering portal.
The closing date for submission of Expressions of Interest and the closing date for the RFQ is 7th September 2026 at 14:00hrs.
All communication / clarifications must be submitted via the e-tendering portal.
