The brief

T Levels are creating a new programme of Technical Education that introduces a high quality technical option to sit alongside the existing academic options for students aged 16 to 19.

In line with Sainsbury Report recommendations, each T Level is being delivered by a single body or consortium under an "exclusive licence", awarded for a fixed time period following open competition.

The purpose of this procurement will be to select and appoint an Awarding Organisation (AO) to be responsible for developing and delivering the new Marketing T Level qualification, under an exclusive licensing approach.

The expected scope of the role of the AO is that it would be responsible for: designing the content of the qualification; upskilling providers (further education schools and colleges); providing of learning and teaching materials; updating content; and delivering qualification assessment IfATE will be the contracting authority, subject to commencement of the relevant provisions of the Technical and Further Education Act 2017.
