The brief

The London Borough of Bromley is seeking interested parties/partners to provide innovative and appropriate concessions within parks, recreation grounds, and broader greenspace within Bromley.

Many of the sites are close to housing and good transport facilities, with some having car parks and other relevant infrastructure, a number of sites solely offer traditional active and passive recreation pursuits.

The Council is looking therefore at all options to expand the current range of activities and services held at these locations and would consider all proposals to further utilise the available space for the benefit of the public To stimulate market interest, expressions of interest from third parties will be invited for significant concession type arrangements.

Prospective tenderers will initially set out the broad concept of their proposals, preferred site location/s, and proposed service arrangements for delivering the concession(s).

The likely period is expected to be 5+5 years but others could be longer.

The lease/contracting arrangement is expected to be based on transferring full operational risk/cost to the service provider.

It is proposed that following assessment of proposals received that an appropriate Concessionary or other tender process will be run in accordance with EU Regulations.
