The brief

Tender for developing and implementing a marketing communications strategy to support the Sandwell Business Ambassadors Tenders are invited from appropriately experienced and qualified individuals and agencies to support the Sandwell Business Ambassadors by developing and implementing a marketing communications strategy to support the Ambassadors in engaging with the wider business community.

The Sandwell Business Ambassadors programme was launched in March 2016 with the aim of determining how to utilise the strengths of local strategic businesses by acting as advocates to support the borough in its ambitions to develop its already diverse and prosperous business base.

The project is made up of Sandwell's key strategic businesses who are working with the aim of determining how to utilise their strengths, acting as advocates to support the borough in its ambitions with regard to business going forward.

The purpose of the group's activities is not to solely focus on engagement with local business, but should support the council's vision for inward investment to an international audience.

As an independent group, one of the key roles of the Ambassadors is to work with the SME business base within the borough, working alongside the businesses to represent their views and issues into Sandwell Council and also to act as a conduit to feed information back out to the businesses.

This should help position the borough as a forward thinking, innovative and enterprise focussed place to do business, highlighting the important contribution that businesses make in creating sustainable economic growth.

However, the Ambassadors will also play an increasingly important role in challenging and helping to shape the future economic vision for the borough and to this end the ambassador's work will help shape the Council's emerging Vision for 2030.

The contract is to last for a period of 24 months.
